For Churches/Organizations

Serve a meal

Our ministry thrives because it belongs to our member churches and organizations. We encourage any group to participate, especially those in Southeast Baltimore County. Bring a study group, office team, class, youth team, ministry leaders, or rotate families to serve and get to know our guests. To get involved with serving a meal:

1. Choose a contact person / group leader. Communication is always easier with one person should there be any changes in schedule, inclement weather, etc. That person is responsible for confirming your church's arrival at all of your designated mealtimes.

2. Submit a meals signup form online or contact us at (or call 443-764-4249). Please sign up before November 1 with dates or a day of the week where your church can serve. Some churches serve weekly, others bi-weekly, others monthly. Mealtimes are available every night at 6:00pm, November 1 - April 15. If you have not signed up before November 1, please note that dates are always changing. We will do our best to provide you with available nights to serve, but cannot guarantee your requested mealtimes will be open.

3. Wait to receive our welcome packet and for the meals calendar to be posted. Your dates may conflict with others, so it is possible we will ask to adjust some mealtimes.

4. Review our recipe book and servers' guide on what to prepare throughout the shelter season.

Your congregations, employees, and students are talented people, and we know it. Groups of volunteers act as advocates for our guests, create support networks, lead our organization's events, and more. If your organization is interested in serving outside the kitchen, please submit a volunteer signup form online or contact (or call 443-764-4249). See available volunteer opportunities.

Streets of Hope is your church or organization's ministry, and we depend on your support to keep our men warm, fed, and ready to find jobs and homes. Visit our donation page to give today, or call 443-764-4249 to find out how your church can arrange a Streets of Hope ministry fund or offering day.
